My journey and highlights at FPS
My name is Hasnain Ayaz, and I'm from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. I have been a student at FPS since Year 7, and I am now grateful to have graduated from this school.
My Journey at FPS and Highlights:
• My time at FPS has been an amazing journey, marked by the support of incredible teachers in every subject. Their strong determination not only supported me but also helped many other students.
• Receiving the Platinum Jubilee Scholarship was a significant achievement.
• Winning the Adam Burfield Enterprise Competition, with the guidance of my Head of Year, Miss Nicole Smith, was another major highlight.
• Becoming the Deputy Head was a pivotal moment, allowing me to give back to the FPS community. I had the opportunity to speak at assemblies and even at other schools, raising awareness of contemporary issues to educate students.
• Participating in World Book Days was always memorable, not only because it was a day without uniforms but also because of the valuable lessons learned from various books.
• Sports Days were also great, where I earned several medals—mostly silver or bronze, but still meaningful experiences despite Dubai's unforgiving heat.
• While there are many more events, I cherish these memories, which will stay with me and serve as lessons during difficult times.
Why I Chose TETR:
• I have always been deeply interested in business, particularly in improving employment opportunities and providing a platform for skilled individuals who may not have received them otherwise.
What the Scholarship Means to Me:
• Even at FPS, I demonstrated my entrepreneurial spirit by leading a small ice cream startup in Year 8 during Enterprise Week, where we made impressive profits.
• This scholarship allows me to pursue practical business knowledge on a global scale, enabling me to provide opportunities not only locally but also to a global audience.
How GEMS Has Helped Me:
• GEMS has been a crucial support system for my family and me, providing all the necessary resources to help me secure a place at TETR.
• The staff at GEMS were always available, offering good references and support.
• GEMS has also introduced me to friends who have taught me valuable life lessons and teachers who have guided me not only academically but also in building strong values during tough times.
• The relentless effort of teachers, who worked hard after school hours to provide support before exams, has been consistent throughout my time at GEMS.
