Trips and Activities
At FirstPoint, we offer a variety of trips for all ages, with residentials starting in Year 4.
The number and variety of opportunities we offer is a real strength of a FirstPoint education, and our lively schedule of academic and co-curricular visits reflects our global outlook. We provide a range of study and field trips across the academic curriculum, which strengthen classroom-based learning.
For day trips, we offer local activities and locations to support the learning of the students’ current theme and topic to fun class-building trips, and end of year celebration and success trips.
Our Primary residential trips are with North Star and the EcoVenture outward bound teams, and offer the children the chance to participate in activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and experiencing the desert and beach landscapes and wildlife of the UAE.
In Secondary, we offer an array of day and residential trips to support learning and enhance skills and experiences. We offer an annual ski trip, community service trips to Kenya or Cambodia, digital learning trips to Tokyo, culinary trips to Italy and a host of other options that vary by year.
We also offer a variety of day trips for Secondary students, to support learning in subjects such as climate change, physical education, sports science and many more.
Outdoor pursuits and challenges are provided by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme while MUN and academic enrichment conferences help students develop their confidence, presentation skills and political awareness
