HOW ARE PARENTS UPDATED ON THEIR CHILD’S PROGRESS?
We strive to establish strong partnerships with parents, regularly sharing updates, progress, and achievements to support student learning both in school and at home. Along with three formal parents' evenings per year, we provide two data reports and a full end-of-year written report to keep parents informed of their child's progress. Our open-door policy encourages frequent meetings between parents and teachers to discuss progress and learning goals. Additionally, we offer regular opportunities for parental engagement and workshops, inviting you to participate and witness the exciting learning experiences firsthand.
HOW MANY ADULTS ARE IN EACH CLASSROOM?
Our small class sizes ensure that all children experience personalised learning to enable them to flourish in their learning. There is one Teacher and one Teaching Assistant in every class from FS1 to Year 4. In Years 5 and 6, there is one Teacher, and a Teaching Assistant shared between two classes. For our younger students, our Teaching Assistants accompany students to their specialist lessons with specialist teachers.
HOW MUCH TECHNOLOGY IS USED IN LESSONS?
In all Primary classrooms, interactive touch screens are available to support learning across the curriculum. Students in Year 1 and above are encouraged to bring their own device from home as part of our Bring Your Own Device policy. Digital literacy is seamlessly integrated into various subjects to enable children to apply their skills across different contexts. However, the wellbeing of students is paramount, and teachers closely monitor to maintain a balance between digital and 'unplugged' activities.
Technology is utilised solely to enhance learning, not to replace other educational opportunities. We prioritise the development of fine and gross motor skills by providing ample opportunities for students to engage in activities that do not rely on digital devices.
